Aim the remote control at front of htups 500 and press power off button on proper number times necessary to shut down television or projector. Charge the htups 500 for 24 hours when complete, clean power and line on lights will stay illuminated nib htups Ir emitter included with bulb-based, fan-cooled projection TV or rear remote control television projector preparation: The TV projector should still be on.

The learn light should turn on and stay illuminated. Both learn and test leds on the back of unit will blink 3 times to indicate current draw has been learned if television or projector turned off, turn power htups 500 by pressing button for 1 second 4. Turn TV projector on approximately 10 seconds after receiving the Ir signal, learn light back of htups 500 will off, indicating unit has learned appropriate sequence. Press and hold the learn button on back of htups 500 for 3 seconds.

Plug the Ir emitter into remote out connection on back of htups 500 and place other end near window television or projector. Set the current draw of TV projector on htups 500 by holding down test and learn buttons back for 5 seconds. Unit will go through a diagnostic self test.
